Thankful Time of Year

It's that time of year again when we sit and remember all the things we are thankful for. Well we want to know what everyone is thankful for. Let us know what you have to be thankful this year. It's just about show time.

We at God321, would like to thank Kids Against Hunger for letting us be a part of this special event.

Feed the World Day Event

This Saturday, October 6th God321 will be broadcasting live from the Feed the World Day event downtown Detroit put on by Kids Against Hunger. Their goal is to package 1,000,000 meals in two days. 500,000 of those meals will be staying in the Detroit area while the other 500,000 meals will be going to RHEMA International for their Haiti Missions. Make sure you tune in to 1500AM or www.faithtalk1500.com at 2:00pm to listen to our broadcast. We are hoping to speak with volunteers packing the meals. This should be a great event and we would love to have you join us by listening to the broadcast.

International Celebration

Upcoming Event

This Saturday, July 7th we will be broadcasting LIVE from the Who's My Neighbor International Celebration at Zion Christian Church (located at 3668 Livernois Rd Troy MI). We will be live from 2 to 4pm so stop out and say Hi. You will also get to enjoy the parade of nations, see displays from the "Four Corners of the Earth", sample international cuisine and there will even be a kids zone with bounce houses, clowns, ballon sculptures, cotton candy and much much more. Networking Event

On June 19th, God321 held our first networking event. We had a lot of past guests from the show in our facility. During this event I shared my vision of bringing together helping and comforting ministries to form a caring network. There were many great conversations going on and connections being made. It turned out to be a wonderful event and we are looking forward to having more in the future. Click here to see photos from the event.

Sundays

God321 is now on the radio on Sundays! We have gone to seven days a week! Everyday you can tune into God321 at 2 to 3pm (EST) and again at 11 to midnight. We are very excited about adding the Sunday show. Listen in and let us know what you think.

Vista Maria Site Visit

Recently I was able to go out to Vista Maria and meet with some of the workers there and take a tour of the campus. It really is a beautiful place and everyone there is so nice and friendly. One Year Anniversary

Today celebrates our One Year Anniversary on the radio! May 9, 2011 was our first day hitting the airwaves at FaithTalk 1500AM WLQV. It has been quite a year at God321 and the year has gone by so quickly. God321 was started to give a voice to the Holy Spirit and to help others learn about the person and personality of the Holy Spirit. The show has become a source of networking for organizations to speak out to the public and for those in need to learn about sources out there that can help. God321 has become a helper of the Holy Spirit. During this last year God321 has…

• Given away 6 well maintained used cars
• Donated 2 buses
• Provided a handicap lift to a church
• Helped build 2 houses in Haiti with Food for the Poor
• Helped a hospital in Haiti by supporting 2 doctors, building a pharmacy and providing water
• Provided legal aid

Your host Dan, is hoping to expand God321's contributions in the community by creating "charity partners" and hopes to more than double his current contributions over the next 2 years.

We have had so many great guests on the show and have spoken to so many wonderful and inspiring people throughout the year. We have been so touched by all the people that have been put in our path. Busy Day

Last week Thursday (April 26th) was a busy day here at God321. In the morning we attended the FaithTalk 1500 (WLQV) 6th Annual Pastor's Appreciation Luncheon. Dan, his wife Debi and myself were on hand to meet and greet with Pastors from all over Southeastern Michigan. We met many new faces and made some great new connections. After the meet and greet we were all treated to a wonderful lunch and got to hear some great speakers.

Later that day we attended the FaithTalk listener event. Here we got to meet with listeners of the show and met some people who hadn't heard the show yet but were left looking forward to tuning in. All in all it was a great and busy day. We got to put some faces to our listeners and made some great new friends. Click here to view some photos from the day.

House of Help

God321 (along with our sponsor DiHydro Services, Inc) have formed a partnership with the House of Help Community Center in Detroit. They serve the area between Telegraph and Berg Rd and Grand River and Seven Mile. Recently God321 and DiHydro were able to donate a much needed utility van to the House of Help. Pastor Ray and Toni Anderson, founders of the community center, were over joyed to receive the van and other donations. Here are some photos of God321 presenting the van to Ray and Toni.

Gift of Life Michigan

On January 23^rd, we had the honor to be revisited by Remonia Chapman from Gift of Life Michigan. We spoke to Remonia a while back about the importance of donating our organs and tissues when we leave this earth or those organs or part of organs that we can safely donate while still here.

This time Remonia brought a two-time kidney recipient to join her in the discussion of donating organs, particularly kidneys (every healthy person has two kidneys…one plus a spare). We learned that Michigan has moved from 45^th place up to 38^th in people signing up to donate organs and tissues. This is mainly in part to getting the word out there and asking those that aren’t already an organ donor to sign up. To become a donor is really a simple process. Just click here and fill out the form (all you need is your driver’s license or state ID card number, your name as it appears on your ID and your date of birth). You will then receive a red heart sticker in the mail (in about 10 days), which you place on your ID. Then when you go to renew your license it will automatically be embedded on your new license. There are so many people (3,000 average in Michigan) that are just waiting to receive a donation of an organ that it just makes sense to sign up. One person can help save up to 50 people by donating your organs and tissues. There are people all around the country in need of organs just waiting for the gift of life (waiting to live, to have a life again).

Richard, our kidney recipient, told us his story about receiving two kidneys. Richard was one who had never spent any time in a hospital but in 2002, at the age of 35, he started feeling ill. He made an appointment to see his doctor but before that appointment happened something was wrong and Richard ended up in the hospital. He came to find out that he had stage 4 chronic kidney disease and started dialysis the very next day. There were signs but they had been ignored and now Richard had to make some decisions. He chose to not let it get him down and live his life to the fullest. Richard went through two different kinds of dialysis while he was on the donor/transplant list for seven years. Three days after receiving his kidney, it had to be removed because Richard became violently ill. Luckily for Richard, about nine months later, he received another kidney transplant and has been feeling healthy for almost a year and a half.
